We considered buying a second-hand Chevy van for our family. Fortunately, my husband decided to hire an independent Inspector to verify technical condition of the vehicle. It turned out that it had a couple of minor defects and one "upcoming" major defect. There was no way we could have noticed minor noise coming from the rear end without a remote microphone the inspector used. He said that the differential would fail within a few thousand miles, and repair would cost about two thousand dollars. This information helped us to slash almost three thousand off the asking price.
Three months later, the part indeed came apart, and we paid almost $1,900 to fix the van. In the end, we not only have a trouble-free vehicle but also the inspection saved us $1,000 AFTER WE PAID FOR REPAIRS AND THE INSPECTION ITSELF!
Thank you very much for quality work.
Sincerely

I was buying a relatively expensive ($10,000) used car from an ad in the paper. Not being a technical type, I thought it would make sense to have a professional to look at it BEFORE I commit myself to the deal. I talked to a number of repair facilities but all of them asked that I bring the vehicle in for inspection that not only was a major hassle but would not have saved me money. Dealers quoted $100 for engine "scanning" alone! I called a couple of "on-site" inspections companies and had a hard time figuring out which one to hire. So I asked my mechanic to review what each of them had to offer. After just a few minutes, he came to the strong conclusion that Precision Diagnostics had much more thorough inspection procedure. He also said that their web site contained a wealth of relevant technical information along with a detailed inspection description. In any case, I paid $149.00 for the inspection. They did not find a single defect but advised that certain major maintenance procedures were due. I negotiated $1,500 - that covered ten times more than I paid for the inspection, will cover whatever needed to be done, and I am left with over $900 of cash!
Thanks guys - this very well maybe the best $149 I've ever spent!

I wanted to purchase a car from an on-line auction. Since I live in California, and the car I found was in Denver, Colorado, I needed somebody to check it out. I called many companies - some local, others national but none of them seemed to be thorough enough - I am a retired auto Technician and know what I want. Finally, I did a search on the Internet, and found Precision Diagnostics. Their site impressed me very much, and after I spoke with Leo, I had no doubts anymore. He was very professional - technically as well as business-wise. He not only did the inspection but also took plenty of excellent digital pictures. He emailed his report and photos to me the very same day, and I got enough information to make an informed decision AND get a bargain price. It was almost like being there. When I flew out to Denver and looked at the car, I realized how accurate the inspection had been.
Thanks a lot!

We bought used cars before and almost every time faced surprises. So this time we followed a friend's advice and hired a Precision Diagnostics inspector to evaluate it. He said that the car was in poor shape and needed thousands of dollars worth of repairs. At first, I was upset because it looked like I just paid $150 for nothing - I still had no car. The inspector told me that if I wanted another car to be inspected within the next 2 weeks, they would charge only $125. Later, I realized that the first inspection was anything but a waste - if I had not spent money on it, I would have ended up with a severely broken down car AND with no money to fix it. The second car I picked was in a decent shape, and I was able to lower the price due to inspection findings so I got compensated for both inspections and minor repairs the vehicle needed.
